Nissan I-Key issues: mobile phone signals too much to handle?
Too much technological advancement has its downsides: if you are not techie enough, you might end up ruining your latest piece of gadget. Or if you have numerous gadgets that are too techie, these gadgets may ruin each other (due to some incompatibility reasons).
This exactly concerns Nissan North America. They have the I-Key (intelligent key used to start the car’s engine), the name they branded their uber-techie car keys, that have incompatibility issues with mobile phone signals. The I-Key runs on “electronic codes” that can be erased when placed near a cellphone. Nissan management said that if the I-Key electronic codes are erased (by accident or by whatever means), it cannot be reprogrammed.
