About seven months ago, Nokia’s BL-5C battery, used by a number of their phones such as the N-series, have been prevalent in the news and internet forums all over the world. What is so alarming is that, Nokia included in their website a product advisory link that concerned the replacement of the BL-5C battery. Nokia claims that some of their manufactured batteries are defective and can explode due to overheating while charging the phone. The best way to check if you have the said battery is to turn off your phone and see if it has a “BL-5C” written on it. If you are using one, Nokia will be more than willing to replace your battery.
