This will enable police to easily pull over errant drivers who continually disregard the ban. They said that texting while driving takes away the attention of the driver from the road. This could eventually lead to accidents. The law aims to keep the road safe for people. They have the right not to worry about drivers who are more focused on texting than driving. A recent accident in California killed at least 12 people and injuring 135 more was said to have been caused by texting while driving.
